Timeline for the field test
The field test will take place from 1 August to 30 November 2015, giving participants four months to prepare their portfolio entry.
Participants will be provided with detailed guidelines about how to upload their completed portfolio entries to the ACER field test website.
Following submission of entries, ACER will:
- review and revise the portfolio entries where necessary; and
- train a group of experienced teachers in a program to develop benchmarks and set standards for each portfolio entry.
The field test will aim to provide the basis of a process for training assessors as part of a system for providing professional certification to highly accomplished and lead teachers.
